Sorry I’ve gone silent these past couple months. There are a few things I meant to write about, but I just didn’t get around to it for one reason or another. Then the busy season at work happened (or as I like to refer to it, “Christmas’s War Against Me”) with long hours and mandatory Sundays. On top of that I’ve been fighting the worst winter cold in recent memory these past few weeks, and any
time motivation I had to write instantly evaporated.
So instead of throwing out these ideas entirely, let’s just touch on them briefly (warning, everything’s been coming up video games lately). Continue reading
Two months ago I wrote about the Valiant comics promotion for the final four issues of X-O Manowar. To briefly summarize, each issue comes with a random mini-print done by one of 50 artists. But there was also some original sketches randomly inserted into issues as well. Being both a Valiant comics and original art junkie, I bought a bunch of issues in an attempt to find some.
With issue #49 I bought 10 issues and was pleased to find this sketch card by Gabe Eltaeb:
I really don’t watch that much TV these days, so it’s been quite a surprise to see my beloved Commodore 64 computer appear in some of the shows I watch. Three different shows to be exact. While two caught me completely by surprise, I’ll talk first about the one I actually expected to see C64’s in.
